DESCRIPTION
Initiating the academic programme of the congress, this session will feature two keynotes on the promise and progress of the Sustainable Development Goals delivered by Ms. Bettina Tucci Bartsiotas, Director of the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) and former Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations, and Mr. Aldo Ravazzi Douvan, Economic Adviser in the Italian Ministry of the Environment.
A panel featuring representatives from businesses and human rights non-profits will follow with sustainability stories and a discussion of the challenges, successes and failures of initiatives towards a more sustainable world.
